Stop, think, then speak (or type).

I'm not belittling all your years of knowledge and experience but when it comes to the new cars you seem to be a little behind. Time to read up.

The wheelie bars on front wheel drive cars do in fact help. Front wheel drive cars have a nasty habit of trying to kick the front wheels off the pavement when power is applied. This is called "wheel hop". The wheelie bars help keep the front wheels planted during launch and gear changes. Also if configured correctly the wheelie bars transfer much needed weight to the front wheels.
