Exhaust options
Hey guys, I drive a 70 nova with an 83 305/TH350. Right now I have a 700cfm (late 70s model non-ecm controlled) rochester qjet and dynomax blackjack headers w/ 2 1/2" collectors. I am planning on running glass packs where cats would typically go on a car and then i want to put either an Hpipe or an X pipe.
My question is... do X pipes flow better than H pipes? Does 1 outflow the other, does 1 provide more torque than another or is one more for horsepower?
I'm going to run about 1 ft of pipe from the collectors, into 2 glasspacks, then into an x or h pipe, then run it back over the axle and into dual turbo mufflers...
I wanna figure out which is better. This is a street strip car and is used daily now, but will be a weekend cruiser (still used on the highway too) in a few months.
Thanks for any help/suggestions

Dallas, install the H or X before the glasspaks, right after the collectors. Here's a copyrighted piece from autoMedia.com Inc. explaining the background of the device.....

Well I've sure gotten old too so don't worry about it! I've had two bypass surgeries, new knees, fought prostate, cancer and diabetes. I'm half blind, can't hear anything quieter than a jet engine,...
