Hey, i went ahead and splurged for the Mallory,like you.(sorry Denny).i just always like to get the best for my baby.
However, as i just ordered this morn, i decided to check the clearance between my old points distributor and the firewall.Looks to be exactly 2 1/2 inches fro the center of distributor and firewall.I hope to hell thats going to be enough room.My luck it won't be. i had the guys at the Speed shop measure the Mallory and they said 2 1/2 inches also.You have any clearance issues?
