I just got a 69 firebird with a 389 and a 4 gear. It has 326 heads and a holley 650 dp 4777-2. I just rebuilt the carb.The cam seems pretty big but don't know the specs. It has 10" of vacuum at about 1000 -1100 rpm or so but when I try to turn down the idle any more, it idles steady and slowly dies like it is flooding out. It seems to be idling RICH, burns my eyes. I tried a couple of power valves and currently have a 2.5 in it. It had a 4776 600 dp on it first and it did the same thing. Air mixtue screws don't seem to do much either. HELP!!!!!!!!
