Just completed an engine rebuild for my 76 F-100. What we have is a 302 bored .030 over. Keith Black high dome pistons, comp cam with 224 duration with .465 lift. HP Ford Heads off a 65 Mustang. MSD Distributor (ready to run). MSD Coil, Headers, C-4 tranny and an Edelbrook Performer 800 cfm carb. I have the carb mounted on a Wyand tunnel ram manifold. Set up on the carb out of the box is metering jets primary 113, secondary 101. Metering Rods .071x .047, step up spring orange 5"hg. Just got it off the dyno and it puts out about 195hp w/ 216.1 torque.

I am a newbie, and I was a little disappointed with these horsepower results. However the main problem I am having is a serious bog when I first stick my foot in it on take off. The engine completely chokes out until I raise the accelerator and slightly pump it to get it going. Would the accelerator pump be the prob? Maybe the initial squirter? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
