    i have a 1972 ols cutlass S 2 door hard top what does the S mean and does anyone no what kind of engine it should have in it i know it has a 350 but dont no if its a rocket how can i tell

    i have a 1972 olds cutlass S 2 door hard top need to find a parts book to buy body parts and interior seat covers any one no of a place to order these things?

    Actually, the problem is weight distribution. I found I was getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 65/35. not good, no hookup. However, if I had swapped the rear end, shifted the engine mounts and got a better set of tires(snows year round). I would have hit low 12s/ high 11s easy. I saw the combo in a 86 with a 425. he's pulling a regular 11.50 ish. Then again, his car see's little street use.

    Oh, by the way, I believe the S means sport. The 350 is a rocket, and it should have the best heads oldsmobile ever made for a 350 on it. However, keep in mind, that the 72 has a tendancy to swap ends. I know this from a little to much fun one night......

    You can try " THE PADDOCK", at paddockparts.com . They have interior kits , and a limitted supply of body parts though. Or you can always try yearone.com

    I once thought little of Fiero's, until one ran away from me like i was parked....


    People have been known to stuff 350s into these little fieros mabye this was one of them

    I used to deal black jack in Las Vegas at the Hacienda hotel, it's no longer there its been torn down. Another dealer had one of the Fiero's with a V6, now everyday he would talk crap to me about how he would blow the doors off my old Buick Le Sabre, it was a 69' 4 door. Now, what he didn't know was that I had just rebuilt a 455 engine that was cammed and running GREAT. We pulled out onto the end of the Las Vegas strip and as soon as he started to spin his tires I hit the gas and, spanked his little butt. now, the next day when I walked into the dealers room, he was already in there telling everyone for me that he couldn't believe how fast that big ol' car moved. Needless to say his talking crap days were over, and thats the way we do it in America! NOW, I don't want to hear about Fiero's anymore, or I'm gonna have to pull out my 69 Cadillac, and kick some Fiero butt.

    By the way my Caddy has a 472 in it. 375 H.P 525 torque, and was built in the good ol' U S of A !!!!

    I've heard about those lancer evo's too. But do you remember that little thing in HOT ROD, called the Real Street Eliminator (RSE)? Thats where you take a real car with real money, not a loan, and build a car to handle, accelerate, ride good, and look good. Yeah I think the last one was won by a .......oh yeah CADILLAC DEVILLE 500 ci. It beat out SCCA Trans Ams Camaros and all kinds of performance sectors. All that for I think like $10000. The Mitsubishi Evo costs like $40000. The Evo might win, maybe!
