I have the same year F150,,mines a 4X4,,,you probably have dual tanks,,,i'd check the transfer switch on the dash and make sure you got power there when you switch over.
And there's another question,,,,,does the truck stall on the front tank selection or the rear?
check the feul tank switch its has poiwer, 8.5 volts?????? checked
EEC and FEUL PUMP RELAY BOTH HAVE POWER DON`T KKNOW WHAT TO DO, have a nother feul rail getting ready to put that puppy on
Chances are the fuel rail isnt at fault. My personal guess would that your pump or pumps dont have either enough voltage or share a common ground. Try running a temporary power feed from a section or your fuse box on an accessory you dont have on that truck, to a fuel pump. If your truck runs, you have a shorted wire somewhere along the frame.
what makes you think its not one of the pumps, i would think thats part of the fuel pump circuit .
i think maybe your right about the ground, i think the pump gets hot or the ciructe and when it cool it starts again
if the pumps are getting hot its because they are bad and thats the reason the wires are get hot. if you have a bad ground it just dont work. :HMMM:Quote:
