Talking Set a holly up for offroad use

ok guys here is a good question. I just put my 350 in my s10 and am having problems with my hooly carb when hitting bumps(off road). The carb floods out and I know what it is but how do I fix it? I know when I rit the bumps etc the carb floods out because of the floats but is there an easy fix? I have never ran my holly offroad before and have never had this problem. It would seem that adjusting the floats down would be the answer but its not because than I will starve my 350. So I quess since I have always ran a street car and this is my first offroad truck how do I set the carb to handle those bumps?

sorry Streets but that is not a good link either. I do thank you for trying to help me. I changed the floats today from brass to plastic in hopes that would help but it did very little. * do they make shocks for hollys* The bouncing around just makes it flood.

OK, plain and simple, Holleys are NOT designed for off road. 4 wheel and off road did an article on this back in 2001, and they had problems with the same carb setup. I suggest you keep this carb on the street. Edelbrock performer can be set up for off road, and The Rochester carbs are already pre-set on the larger GMCs In the late 70's-early 80s. Heres a link to the on, line article http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techarticles/11538/ Enjoy!
