I run 7-7.5 lbs on all my 4150 and 4500 carbs. I used to run the little blue holley pumps, any more I run the Aeromotive A-2000 pumps. I like to not run lean, so I adjust until I flood the needle and cut .5 lbs off of that point. If the pressure is too high you will sink the floats, the pressure on the needle will overcome the floatation of the floats and you will overfill the bowls and bleed fuel like a stuck pig. I like to be comfortably close to this, running lean is blowing engines, and starving the engine for fuel at WOT and insane RPM's will force you to tear apart an engine that should have never failed.Last edited by larry0071; 01-16-2005 at 05:13 AM.

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
