Dynamic compression ratio
Whats the max Dynamic compression ratio that will run on 87 octain fuel?
7.25:1DCR or 7.5:1DCRhad a rebuilt 355SB chevy
it lasted 42,000km
Got another rebuilt 355SB
it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.

So I will just have to guess how to up my cranking compression up to 180psi.
right now its like 160psi/7:1DCR (8.5:1scr with a 62*IVC)
9.4:1scr with .040 quench and the same cam. should run on 87 octian. (72cc fastburn chambers)
running on the low end of the coolant heat range.had a rebuilt 355SB chevy
it lasted 42,000km
Got another rebuilt 355SB
it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
