    Raised SBC Engine Mounts

    Hi Guys,

Anyone know where I can get some raised engine mounts for a 1986 SBC, 350/5.7. 3 Hole bolt pattern to the block. I need to raise the engine about 1 1/2 inches higher than what the standard pedalstyle mounts allow due to blower pulley clearance.

What frame are you working with? My initial thought was to check Pete & Jakes, but that only works for Model A through '48 chassis, I think. Easiest might be to fabricate what you need, or take your current mounts to a local welding/machine shop and have them modified?

make your own with 1 1/2 " aluminum its not hard. You may have to raise the trans also to correct drive shaft angle

Because of the bolt angle you will probably have to move the frame mounts out.

Don't raise the engine-you will creat about 20 differant problems-------Modify the crossmember/chassie where pulley interferance is------fix the problem, don't act like the government!!!!!!!!!!!!
NTFDAY, DennyW and 36 sedan like this.
By popular opinions-just a grumpy old man key board bully--But really, if you are going to ask for help on an internet site, at least answer questions about what you are asking about-----

Looks like there is plenty of cross member there. Cut out where you need to set the pulley in. Maybe add some plate in front if it seems weak But from that picture it looks like you have a lot to work with.
