Intake Casting #14057055
Hi,
I'm new here. I am in the process of going through some parts that came with a truck I bought (A LOT of parts.........), And I've been looking up #'s online for the casting numbers to find the values of some parts I have.
I came across an intake manifold with the Casting number 14057055, and looked it up. On here, a guy said he sold one to a chevy dealer for $700 (Not sure if he said it with sarcasm. If so, I'm gonna feel like an idiot. LOL), and a guy sold one for close to $400 off Flea-Bay a while back too.
Is there anything behind this intake that would make it that valuable? I've seen the words "crows foot" tossed around. is that the thing that looks like a crows foot on the back side of the Carb mounting flange?
Thanks in advance. I'll probably have more questions as different parts come up. I'm only a teenager, and don't have a lot of knowledge with vehicle parts, and their value. But I'm always eager to learn new things.
Again, thanks a bunch.

Sounds like a great way to learn..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Thanks guys! It's been a long road. Fun doing finishing work for sure. Getting the dash ready for paint and some interior trim. Have to do some finish work on the aluminum headliner before...
