I never heard of a 267. Could it be a slightly bored '55-'56 265?
I really think you should check the engine numbers. I bet it is a bigger displacement.
You need to make Google your friend. Google "Chevrolet 267" and you'll quickly get to Wikipedia and see that the 267 was introduced in 1979 for the F body (Camaro), also used in the G body (Monte & others) and some B body cars. I hadn't heard of it either...
