Not a fan expert or care to be. What I know is I use the product it works just fine. Have mine for 14 years, 30k miles, good enough for me.

OK, I should probably just shut up and not admit it but I'm sorely embarrassed :o:(:o I got my package from Speedway, two new pulleys, a new alternator bracket and new nylon flat front fan, and while waiting had picked up a new short style water pump from NAPA. Got things bolted on hand tight using washers for spacers and noticed that my radiator to fan clearance seemed to be pretty wide. Soooo, off with everything, back on with the long pump and pulleys, and low & behold the 14" flat front nylon fan that Uncle Bob recommended solves my clearance problem, and puts the fan right at an inch from the back of the radiator. Clears the fittings in the corner by 1/2", it's all good.
Packaged up the pulleys & bracket for return to Speedway, and will be making a trip to NAPA later to return the shorty water pump. Now all I need is that shroud.....
Roger, Glad it worked out for you, but you aren't the only one. I'm now on the 4th set of front tires on my '34 and it only has 950 miles on the clock. They weren't worn out - they were just bad choices for size and/or quality.
