Engine swap 350 RBI for a carb 350

First post here guys. My brother in law had an experiment to see how hot he could run my chevy 350 and how far he go in it before interesting things happens. Results a long long way. Blown head gaskets, and I suspect at least 1 dropped valve. The truck has 319,242 miles on it, with 319,241 pf them trouble free for the most part. I am going to do a full rebuild. It is a 1992 with tbi.

In the mean time, I hace an older gm performance engine with a holly 400 I believe and manual clutch, with only 3000 miles on it. It is going into the truck which is tbi. Am I correct in assuming that I can:
1) remove the carb, buy a tbi adapter plate and easily hook up the tbi? It has an eldebrock intake and vortech heads?
2) simply switch the distributors so that it shifts correctly
3) mount the ps pump, compressor, alternator, quickly and easily in the same location as the original 92?
4) the bolt pattern for the trans is the same isn't it?

The only odd component is the in-tank fuel pump that puts out 11psi....needs a regulator to lower the pressure for the carburetor. The fuel pump control goes thru an oil pressure switch that is in the existing oil pressure sender....no oil pressure, no power to the fuel pump. Depending upon which Lebanon you live in, your emissions equipment needs to be considered.

Not keeping the carb. I want to replace it with the original tbi system on the truck now.

Check your intake manifold bolts...especially the center two on each side. There were changes in the angle of the bolts but not sure about TBI versions.
