    Took the G-Tech for a little ride, the 2nd gear romp that G-Tech recommends for the generation of an ET produced 9.739. Finally have my 9 second street driven car and due to the light weight, the engine has decent street manners. Does have me thinking (but I will not take any action on this one), if 526 hp can push me into the 9's, 700 hp should net the 8's. Aw, but that is where traction and hooking up becomes a whole new science, and I'm not going there. On the street I prefer DOT legal tires, not slicks that some cop can get all excited about. The 9 second club is good enough.

    All is done on mine except the seats; driver's seat aluminum done and passenger seat completely done tomorrow; then the interior guy needs to make the pads, probably a couple days to get done.

    Don't stir trouble, Roger But that is a sexy looking motor to my eyes, too.

    When I got my motor I looked long and hard at that new "409" but decided $20,000 was too rich for my blood.

    C'mon Nick, I'm countin' on either you or Bob to spring for the "Big W"!! Then when you put the almost new 427 up for sale I'll jump in and offer a dime on the dollar, or maybe even a quarter!!
    All kidding aside, my old '60 Chevy had a 348 W motor, and I've always loved those valve covers. Having one all aluminum sounds super sexy, but I have to agree their price tag is pretty rich.

    Man that is one awesome looking engine and yes, it would look cool in my bucket too but I'm not sure if the standard tri carb manifold from a stock 409 would fit onto the alloy block. And yes, you wouldn't want to cover up a sexy looking engine like that.

    I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
