Don was just telling me the other night that TrickFlow has come out with a composite intake with tops you can swap out for different configurations. I guess if TrickFlow makes it they must be ok, but I wonder about the long term durability.

I ain't only Ford with the composite intakes. It's a way to cut costs, make a more uniform/smoother fuel-air runner and lighten things up. My V10 F350 - composite intake
My search before I wrote this - about all new auto intakes are no longer metal including - gasp - Corvettes. Look at a Summit or Jeg's catalog for aftermarket pieces for new engines.
