supercharger question.
does anyone know for sure how much air per revolution a 4/71 displaces? I'm toying with the idea of fitting one to a chrysler 318 that I'm in the throws of freshening up.some is good,
more is better
too much is JUST ENOUGH!

Well, they blow enough to supply a 284 cube two-stroke. 71 cubes per cylinder, times 4 cylinders=284 total. You see them on 350's and like that. A 318 should work great with one.

Agree with R Pope, the 4-71 will work great on anything around 300 cubic inches, give or take a little. I talked with Mert Littlefield several years ago about this particular application.

Awsome thanks guys.
It's going to be a fairly low buck build, and I haven't even decided what car I'll put it in yet. I'm thinking a low revving, good down low torque motor. I have a blown pushrod 4cyl jappa that I rev the nuts off of, and it often sits in my back yard with a blown engine extended periods of time.
So she wont be a hand grenade with the pin pulled spec motor.
some is good,
more is better
too much is JUST ENOUGH!

It would be nice if this up and down crap would cease.
