I put everything back together last night. I used the McLeod adjustable pivot ball.
Before I slid the trans back in, I had about a 1/2 - 3/8 inch of distance from the throw out bearing to the clutch fingers.
however, when I put the clutch rod into the end of the fork and tighten the slack, it seems as the bearing is now on the fingers. Is that correct or should the bearing still be away from the fingers some?
The bearing is not supposed to ride on the fingers are they?
The manual say's to lose all slack/lash then add 3.5 turns of the rod, that makes it really tight.
This might be a dumb question, I am learning the clutch stuff as I go.I am just learning as I go.
Damn, that's something I didn't want to hear. I'm glad I got to meet him and Rosie and Rick. I'm proud to have had him as a friend, RIP Johnboy
