could any one tell me how much a set of olds #7a heads would cost through a junkyard and if that would be the best set up for a 403 olds rebuild.

I wouldent pay anymore than 300 bucks a head. I dont know if it would be the best for a 403 olds.

go to www.442.com and read their faq- they list detailed info on every Oldsmobile head casting number, #cc's, Valve size and weather they are performance heads or not.

Personally- for 403 heads, I would not pay a junkyard more than $100 for a set of oldsmobile heads, unless they are have been recently rebuilt.

I wouldnt go to a junkyard to get a set of heads for a 403 anyway. A set of rebuilt heads should cost around the same, and you get a warantee. Are you using 350 or 403 heads anyway? &a are 350 if memory serves me right.

i want to put 7a olds 350 heads on a 403 old to raise the compression to 9.5:1. Can anyone tell me how well this works or if i should be using a different set of heads.
