if you are using a metal ( steel ) bearing type i`m not real sure what you should do .. i thought perhaps you were using the old style brass .. either way iv`e still never staked one in .. unless it slips in by hand pressure then you may have a too loose fit situation ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

Highly recommend a solid brass or oilite bushing instead of a bearing. A bushing, unlike a bearing, will still operate when it's worn out.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
