350 SBC build for 1965 burb

    Hi everyone,

I have my 1965 gmc suburban i picked up not too long ago. I want to build a 350 or 355 for it. I want an engine that will pump out 360-400 (or more ) horsepower on a 3000 doller budget. I currently have a 307 in it with an edelbrock 600cfm , edelbrock performer intake, brand new fuel pump. I can always swap parts off of that motor. So could someone help me price out parts to build this bad @$$ 350?

    thanks
    -Rhys

I think your best bet would be to shop around for a crate motor long block.
