Even with headers I've always had good luck with stock fel-pro gaskets
It's better not to match the exhaust. If you have headers, the header side is usually bigger than the port side and that's what you want. The step keeps the low speed exhaust from flowing back into the cylinder. Makes more power.
I will check the Dart site for the recommended gasket. The reason is I have Hooker super comp headers and a couple of the pipes have like 1/8" of weld step in the opening.
Better get out the die grinder!!!! Sounds like Hooker's quality is deteriorating, too!!!! Some of the cheapie headers on the market have tube openings bordering on being more restrictive then a set of cast iron manifolds!!!!!!!Quote:
