Thats the part I dont get though. Every one says they are cheap no good copies, BUT if its a copy down to the pad for the name shouldn't everything thing else be the same as the name brand?????? I was reading that this brand came out due to some one else letting their patent run out, dont know how true this is though. It also said that the intake are made with USA material but are manufactured else where. I know they have been out for a few years now ,I wonder if they have perfected their copy? I am all 100% for USA brand but also dont like being gouged just for some ones name....... If its a copy then all things should be identical except one has Eddies name and the other doesnt. I am 90 % for a name brand intake then see the price and then theres the 10% that says HMMMM just for the name.... Some of you guys wont like this but I also bought some fabricated valve covers (e-pay)and for the EXACT same pieces minus the NAME the price was 80 dollars as compared to 250-350 dollars for a name.

I was looking at the hurricane intake for sbc . I am sure some one has ran on a dyno.

    Ports

The biggest problem we have seen is the port alignment is off a long ways.
If you have to correct this problem then you where money ahead buying the Edelbrock intake.

Well in their notes they state that extra material is left for you to port to what ever you need. Is this what you are talking about? I am sure I am going to go with a name brand ,but for some thing that will be ported extinsively maybe its not such a bad idea. All the edelbrocks and holleys I have purchased in the past have needed a lot of porting also. I would still like to see if any one has compared "identical" intakes to see what they came up with.

GASSER I like that intake but I think I need the power band to start some where closer to 3000-3500. Do you think it will work?
