to be able to cool the engine should the thermostat stick...or if the stat is not flowing enough coolant to cool the engine. I'm not a BBC expert at all, but blocking off the bypass doesn't seem like a real good plan to me....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
