Just a idea ,I have no clue whether it will work, can you use regular ball rocker nuts on roller rockers?
just use two of the thick moroso gaskets. I have a set of corvette covers on a set of heads with r/r's and poly locks, no problem.

You could put a small ball of modeling clay on each end of the rocker, hold the valve cover down by hand, and bump the engine over slowly. That'll tell you.

When adjusted, they should not turn loosely with your fingers. Bring them down to that point, then give another half turn. If you're worried about them ticking the valve cover, add another gasket.

Nope, not when you get it running and the hydraulic lifters start to work the plunger. It's along the principle of "self adjusting". At this point your theory is using a solid lifter process. Factory called for a full turn on their stock setups. I wouldn't hesitate to go half or three quarter turn.
