    help with head gaskets

i went to the store yesterday and looked for head gaskets for my 406. its a pretty rare motor so it wasnt in advance's computer but i found the stock one in felpro's catalog. that one wouldnt work because the bore on it is 4.13 and my bore is 4.19. so i called up felpro and asked if the one they listed in their high performance catalog (which had a bore of 4.40) would work well the guy i talked to didnt seem too sharp and was just like yah it will work and kinda blew me off. i just wanted to make sure that this one will work bc there is a lot of difference between 4.19 and 4.40
    thanks guys

Give Cometic a call. They'll make any gasket in any bore for any motor starting at, I think, 0.028" compressed thickness.

Tyler I have a set of original Ford steel shim head gaskets for the 406/428. I was gonna ebay them but if you can use them they are $35. These gaskets are .020 thickness and I believe the bore size is 4.33 but I'll have to measure to be exact. Send me a email or PM if interested. They are to small for the 427's I need.
