Hemi engines

I got a chance to pick up maybe 3 or 4 hemies don't know anything about them whats your thoughts yes or no. They could be boat anchors for all I know

1- Desoto, 2 br intake
2- Chrysler, 1- 2 br. intake, 1 -4 br intake
Where are the block # and is there a site to explain them

Block casting numbers are generally beside the vally pan on the drivers side (?) under the overhang of the heads.

Passenger car motors are stamped in front of the vally pan.
