O.K., listen up for Go-Fast 101. This class is free and the instructor is friendly as long as you listen up. You may argue if you have a legitimate argument, but if you are full of it, the instructor will slap you down. Wanna play, THEN LISTEN UP........
More compression may make you go faster or it may not, depending on the rest of your combination. (combination means the parts that you have chosen to run together.) COMBINATION.....COMBINATION......COMBINATION.
You can't just throw a bunch of parts together and expect them to work well together without knowing what you're doing. You need a combination.
First, you need to know what you have as far as static compression ratio. Now, there are any number of websites with calculators that will help you to determine the static compression ratio of your motor, but if you want me to help you learn how to put a dynamite combination of parts together, you're gonna have to learn to do it yourself.
Your first assignment is to go to this website and read how to figure your own static compression ratio and then come back on this thread and tell me that you want to know how to continue to choose the correct parts to make a dynamite combination and amaze your friends with your newfound knowledge.
