    Smile boss 429'ford help needed

     



    I have a chance to buy a 429 with 20,000 miles on a 72 thunderbird engine. runs good but was put into a 85 ford 4x4 and has a c-6 trans attached is the c-6 able to go into a car with out the 4x4 unit attached. I don't know about 4x4 trans units. other wise I'll just get the engine going to install it into my 51 ford custom. but don't know about the c-6 trans

    I think you would just unbolt the transfer case and bolt in whatever tailshaft fits in your car.
