The cubic inch rating of a blower is not the same as the cubic inches of the engine its made for.
As far as the 2-cycle/4 cycle thing, remember that a Jimmy diesel has ports up the sleeve, so the compression stroke doesn't start until the piston has covered them up, thus losing 1/4 or more of its effective displacement.
The world's first blown small block Chevy used a 4-53 blower and put out pretty good power. Duntov hisself built it for GM, as a test of reliability under high output, in 1954, I think.
