Depends on what you mean by "those". The 151 ci Chevy II/153 Iron Duke engines (these are 2.5 though weren't identified that way at the time) of the '60's/'70's were moderately popular in Model A's and Track style Ts in the '70's (in part a reaction to that fuel crunch period). The engine also found considerable popularity with the dirt track crowd who developed a lot of power equipment. It was also available through Merc Marine who designed a through port head that was popular for power seekers.
The Quad 4 was interesting, has some following, but hasn't been a knockout. The one to watch if you're into this sort of thing is the Ecotec found in most smaller GM rigs now. The "tuner" crowd, that isn't blindly Japanese loyal, has really embraced this engine. Supercharged, cammed, and so on, they crank some impressive power. And they can look like an old Offy without much effort.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
Dammit, another good ol boy gone. Condolence to the family. RIP Mike
