How many quorts of automatic transmission fluid does a 700 R 4 transmission hold

from empty, not including if it has a deep pan or an auxillary cooler, 11- 11 1/2 qts..

if it's a fluid change put 4 qts in then check, because the tq converter holds fluid, that is figured into a dry spec and the spec the book gives, is including the tq converter as empty.You don't know what you've got til it's gone
