Looking for HEAT Risers for 327 SB chevy,

Say all, greetings,..
I've tried driving my 41 around this winter and all went well until...
...the 4 bbl started to ice up and shut down..
I didn't have this problem until ( I'm guessing here )... i added an electric choke.
Heck Rockefeller,.. I drove over Mt Shasta Pass in mid Feb 2005 with out a sputter, now a days on a dry flat cold ( 45-degree ) at 60 mph, this engine wants to shut down 9 feels like it's running on 7 !
So I figure I should add a heat riser shield,, any one care to chime in ?

i'd think it would be a plugged up heat crossover in the intake under ur carb. i drove my 40 chevy w/a 350 for 12yrs+ w/o a heat riser w/o problems & used no choke on my 600 Holley....joe

I/ve checked te rpm preformer intake, it's unfortunatuly not the problem. I guess i need to adapt a wrap-a-round heat riser off the exhaust manifold to the air cleaner.

I'v seen where people take a T for the heater hoses, and run a line off 1 side of the T and run it very close to the carb, and then run it back into the return heater hose. my dad had a 225 slant six in a Valiant at 1 time that didn't like the cold and would shut down after a while, did this and it did not cure it but made it better.
