I am gathering parts for a rebuild on my 360 that has 320k on it. The motor is in a 79 D150 Club Cab. I did a full stock rebuild on it at 92k due to a burned exhaust valve(since I had it open it I thought why not, at that time I put a towing cam in). My question(s) at this time are do I really need a different flexplate than stock(BM or other) for a good balance job? I carry a camper and pull a fair size boat. I has Holley 2bbl on it now, but that is changing. I will be asking more questions later, but for now I would like some advice about balancing.
