I had considered that also about measuring the air coming in or speed density ,I stroked the LT1 and added a little cam so I was concerned .But with the ECM tune it was set up perfect and didnt have the MAF plumbing to deal with .I dont think the GM system in a LT1 works like the old ford ,it is sequential FI just different way of measuring fuel needed. On these cars if you unplug the MAF the car will run fine you wont notice anything but the ck engine light in my research I found that the MAF was just added for OBD II compliance that most GM cars use speed density first and MAF to make minor adjustmentsjust finished a frame off resto mod 67 Chevellewith 383 stroked LT1 and a 75 mb 450 SL (not a hot rod but a sweet old convertable}Now am restoring a 69 Nova SS
