    seeking advice on blown 392

    I.m building my blown 392
Now it's time to order the last parts.
    The 6-71 that I have will give me @ 5 %
    overdrive 11 PSI
I have M/T rods . ARP mains and head studs.
Engine will run on propane ( High octane fuel )
Maby I will start with gasius propane but want to go LPI.
What is best for this engine?
Go for other pully to get around 14 PSI
And what compresion ratio pistons are than adviced.
Or stay with the ( A bit low ) 11 PSI
What is than the max compresion I can use .
Am thinking of O ringing the block ( Good ot bad )
I'm not sure if I want to go 4 bold main.
Trans will be updated to a 4L80
    Car is heavy 5600 LBS
    Tailor is around 6000 LBS

    Thanks for the advice

Contact these guys and ask them.....

This is a chart showing the boost you can run with a given c.r., but I don't know about propane. I think it is the equivalent of 104 octane fuel. If that's the case, you could probably run quite a lot of boost, but I would be concerned about the motor spitting the head gaskets out if you don't o-ring it.

And propane is a very dry gas, so you would want to make sure that you have hardened valve seats.

lsm will not just spit out but i do not know how the head bolt pattern is no the 392 but i have run 16.8 with stock 1017 felpros. O rings are more trouble. if you can use the cometic i would. O rings are a pain

    Hi Thanks for the replys.
    Hardend valve seats I have
I Use propane becouse of the cost .
Here in the netherlands It's cheaper to run a car on propane instead of gas.
    propane = about 60 $cent a litre
    Premium gas about 1 $ 60 cents

But what is the best street setup
Relative high compresion with only a little ( 11 ) psi boost.

    or low compresion ( around 8-1 )
    with high boost.
    Thanks again Remco
