    was it running when the "lots of water " happened?

    Pull your plugs & blow it out- water will not compress- take up the carb while the plugs are out & blow out the intake.

    Rebuild your carb.

    Buy new gaskets & an airfilter for the carb.

    check plug wires & dist. wires for burns, replace if needed.

    Buy new hose clamp.

    Get a Vaccum gauge- you'll need it for Eldebrock carbs. 22lbs on constant side- > 8 on the dist. side during step-up.
