283 engine codes???

In the process of rippin my eng out. Found a few sites on the web, but a little confused. I found a number underneath the left side front (looking at the engine from the hood) above the water pump just below the pass side head.
Shows F0323MA
Any idea of exactly what the year and cubes are for sure?
Also found a 2 digit number under the pass side head on the block. The numer is just 14. Any ideas to this?
And finally, the heads apear to be what a frien called (humpheads) from a 327. Should I keep em?

Does it have the side mount boss. Could be 58-62 283 or 63-64 327. May try www.mortec.com

Thanks for the web site info. If you mean side mount as in motor mounts, it is front mounted. Is this what you meant?
