Hey rcerex. Welcome to the club! As for your 401 delemma, chances are its not a 401. The Wagoneers and Cherokees during that era most commonly came with a 360. If it is the stock motor, grab the vin# and run it through something like carfax. If your not sure, look for a large cast # in the block down near the starter, but thats always a pain.
