400 block/350 heads
i know you cant do this without drilling steam holes right?well what would happen if you did?i picked up a 400 last week but by the numbers its a 400 block and 350 heads.the guy i got it from said it ran fine .until one day it poped and started smoking badly and had a knock.i got it for free so if it is junk ohwell the crank still looks ok no majior marks.can someone enlighten me?point and shoot kinda like skiing but going uphill

yes i did no holes what what would it ruin first the head, block,head gasket or what?point and shoot kinda like skiing but going uphill

i wouldnt blame smoking on the smaller heads. 350 heads are safe on a 400. ive been building engines for quite some time and if i dont have 350 heads if im building a 350. on go the 305 heads. its the 262 heads on a 400 that would be bad.
The main function of your little toe is to make sure all the furniture in the house is in the right place.
