If your worried about proper carbureation, theres always TBI. Easier starts, cleaner burning, and they will usually take up to 300 horses. And yes, clifford makes one of them too http://cliffordperformance.net/Merch...tegory_Code=FI

Well, I found out that the camshaft that I put in was too much for my 230. So, I've got the engine yanked out for the 3rd time, waiting on my new camshaft. It's a Comp Cam, and it's just one up from a stock cam, should run better especially since my Nova has an automatic powerglide that relies on vacuum pressure which was non-exsistant with the Clevite camshaft. Also I did buy a Transdapt carburator adapter to mount a 2 bbl on to my stock intake manifold. The carburator I got was off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT Hopefully it works good, I'm not sure of the CFM's though. At one point I did have a Clifford Intake manifold, however if you use that intake, you have to use the clifford header, that can be a little pricey so I sold it on Ebay.
Anybody interested in a clevite camshaft for a Chevy 194,230, 250?? $40.00 (less than 2 hrs running time)
Hey Sarge, I will staying with a mild cam and want the specs of the one you put in. Also once it's runnin how about a report on it. I will go the four barrel 390cfm route though somewhere down the line unless a turbo gets in my way and I have to install it first.
