    can I please have info/guide to firing order,what happens if rotor out 180*?When installing HEI,can #1post be moved by turning oil pump gear to desired location & re-aligning rotor?May sound stupid,but i cant find this in manuals i have.

    if out 180 you can turn the cap 180 but its best
    to find #1 top dead center in firing position and
    setting it right

    Pull the distributor, turn it 180, and put it back in. The oil pump drive will line up all right.

    Get #1 cylinder at top dead on the power stroke and find out where your rotor is pointing, then rewire your plug wires from there, if they reach the new locations on the cap. If not do what R Pope said, but I have had some trouble getting that distributor to drop right back into place since the oil pump drive turns when you pull the distributor out.

    firing order is on the intake. 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2
