 put a new trans in the maro decided while i was doing this ill pull the motor and have a look inside oil pressure been low and had a wrist pin on number 5 making a little noise at idle . upon further inspection found little peices of silicon under the bearing caps were the oil chamfer holes are..dont ask me how? the rod bearings were just begining to go copper . the main bearings were copper only on the top half theory gravity . had the block cooked and honed. took apart the oil pump reinstalled everything fired it up with 50 pounds pressure.. until she gets 195 then lucky to have 15 sometimes at idle 3pounds what gives?

 Did you mic the rod and main bearing clearances? What were they? What were the rod side clearance figures? What brand and weight of oil are you using.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
