Yeah, you can supplement the fire somehow. Like mentioned above, I'm not sure how it would work on a gas motor but big diesels are huge. He said 6 feet, I've seen pics of diesels in cruise ships that are bigger than your living room. Many of them have exposed rods and you can see how huge they are. I'm six foot and some of them are much bigger than I could reach across. On a gas motor, I would guess that you would just need enough spark. Can you imagine a spark plug as big a motor tranny combo?
