good buy?
a guy down the street from me is offering to sell me his 49 Packard Clipper, its running a caddy 500 motor, with a 4speed, its been chopped and tubbed out.... hes offering $3000..... he doesn't know much about the car because it was his brothers, and his brother died and left it to him....i dont know much about the caddy 500 motors, so i was wondering if this would be a good buy? or should i probably stay away from it

Duh, this a running car with a 4 speed. Buy, buy, buy. $3000 is cheap at as long as the car isn't rusting off the frame. I've seen Clippers go for twice that stock and rust buckets.Duane S

Caddies put out great power, lots of torque. When you get back from buying it, post some pics. Hard to beat a deal like that if it is any kind of body at all !!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
