Thread: no oil flow

My small block chevy is just rebuilt by "professionals". I use the drill to run the oil pump and get lots of oil on the left head (valve train) but none on the right head. Drill runs about 500 RPM and I get 30 to 40 psi pressure. Anybody have an idea what is wrong?

The distributor seals the passage to the lh (drivers side) side of the block. Without the distributor in place you're only going to get oil down one side of the engine.

another trick is if you have a crapped up old distributor lying around, you just tear off the cam gear, and then hook your drill up to the rotor fitting....
