Is it a bad sign when....

Is it a bad sign when I got a shop to preload my lifters and as the engine sits there are only 3 rockers that are tight. Without knowing what pat of the cam lobe each lifter is at.

I can't turn the engine over. internals dragging hard.
    had a rebuilt 355SB chevy
    it lasted 42,000km
    Got another rebuilt 355SB
    it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.

Of course it is. The rockers should all be snug. Who did this? The same guy who hosed up your first engine?

Do you mean you can't turn it over by hand - or with the starter?

An engine won't turn over really easily by hand unless the spark plugs are out. It can be done, but they're pretty stiff. Pull the plugs and see what happens.

I can't turn it with a bar/socket without belts on or sparkplugs in.

The starter turned the engine over. So I could unbolt the torque conveter.

Yes its the same guys. WESTSIDE PERFORMANCE PLUS

I gave them a second chance. They did allot worse the second time.
