Re: are aluminum heads ok for the street?
I'm an old school 70's type too, but it seems new head gasket technology has remedied the aluminum heads on iron block problems.Originally posted by 460Cougar
My son and I are building 2 460's.....one radical for the strip/some street....one tamer one for the street that I already have cast heads for. I come from the old school (60's early 70's) when aluminum heads were taboo for the street due to different expansion rates of the different metals. Are things different now? My son is insistant on this and I need some input as they are a hellava chunk of change to purchase.
