    361ci E-400 motor '58 Edsel wagon....

We just bought a '58 Village wagon. I have not done a Ford yet and need to learn what we can do with this engine. Thanks!

You know, done back to stock on the exterior with an original color, this would be quite the head turner.

As far as what to do with the motor, well .....Let's see.....you could bury it halfway in the dirt in the front yard and plant flowers in the intake manifold.........or you could use an acetylene torch and make some one-off cast iron sculptures......or use a bandsaw to make some very original paperweights......or.......

hmmmm. I think the Edsel used the FE motor in '58, or is that a y block yet??? If it is an FE, there's a ton of good options for it. What do you want the car to do performance wise?? There is everything available for the FE's from stroker kits to aluminum heads to multi-port fuel injection. The first question would be what is the motor, and what performance level do you want???

As far as being insulted, I'm sure all the comments where meant as a joke. Few here are very malicious. Nobody was knocking your ride.

Dave, I was thinkin' this was a small MEL motor. You're correct, the 361 was a FE. As far a knockin' his ride, read my first sentence. It's just that I'm a hot rodder, not a restorer.

I have a sense of humor. My first post and all I got was an outright insult!

Ok then. You want to dwell on your hurt feelings or garner some advice and information on your Edsel?? I guess I should be insulted, tried to help with your questions and you ignored my response. Fortunately, I'm not. So, you want some help on your questions or not???
